近年落成的屋苑，不少已在車位預留 13A 掣位。要講清楚一件事：那個掣位本身並不是充電設施 —— 13A 家用插座長時間輸出大電流會發熱，不應直接長期為電動車充電。正確做法是把它改裝成專用充電線路，並補回應有的保護裝置。Estates built in recent years often leave a 13A outlet at the bay. One thing worth being clear about: that outlet is not a charging facility. A 13A domestic socket heats up when it delivers high current for hours and shouldn't be used to charge an EV long-term. The right move is to convert it into a dedicated charging circuit and add the protection it should have had.
掣位存在，不代表背後的線路撐得起持續 7kW。以下三項一定要查清楚。An outlet existing doesn't mean the cable behind it is rated for a sustained 7kW. These three get checked every time.
13A 掣位的線徑未必足以支撐持續 7kW 輸出。我們會追查回總掣，確認線徑及斷路器是否需要一併更換。The cable feeding a 13A outlet often isn't rated for a sustained 7kW draw. We trace it back to the board and confirm whether the cable and breaker need replacing too.
改為專用回路，加裝 RCBO（過流 + 漏電二合一）及刀掣，讓線路可以獨立隔離檢修。充電樁本身內置 6mA 直流漏電偵測。Converted to a dedicated circuit with an RCBO (combined overcurrent and residual current) plus an isolator so the circuit can be isolated for maintenance. The charger itself carries 6mA DC leakage detection.
若同一條線路上有多個車位掣位，同時充電會超載。需要時我們會加設負載管理，讓多部車輪流或分流充電。If several bays sit on one circuit, charging simultaneously overloads it. Where needed we add load management so the cars share or take turns.
改動的是屋苑既有線路，一般仍需管理處書面同意，但因為基建已存在，程序比舊式屋苑簡單得多。之後同電力公司夾期掛獨立電錶。Because we're altering the estate's existing wiring, written consent from management is normally still required — but with the infrastructure already there it's far lighter than an older estate. Then we book the utility for the dedicated meter.
