好消息：大多無需他人審批 —— 沒有管理處，也沒有法團。壞消息：獨立電錶要向中電申請，整個過程大約 2 至 3 個月，而且時間主要不在我們手上。想快，就要早點開始。The good news: usually nobody's approval is needed — no management office, no owners' committee. The bad news: the dedicated meter has to be applied for from CLP, and the whole thing runs about two to three months, most of it outside our control. If you want it sooner, start sooner.
村屋的樽頸不是審批，是等電力公司。以下四步之中，第一步同第四步都在中電手上。For a village house the bottleneck isn't approval, it's the utility queue. Of the four steps below, the first and the last are both CLP's.
我們先做負載評估，確認現有電錶容量及全屋同時用電量，再備妥申請所需的負載計算。留意：中電不接受代辦，申請要由你本人在中電帳戶提交，我們會逐項告訴你點填。We start with a load assessment — existing meter capacity against the household's simultaneous draw — and prepare the load calculation the application needs. Note that CLP doesn't accept a filing on your behalf: you submit it from your own account, and we'll walk you through every field.
申請批出後，中電會先上門安裝 fuse（供電保護裝置）。這是掛錶前的必要步驟，日期由中電安排。Once approved, CLP attends to fit the service fuse. It's a prerequisite for metering and the date is theirs to set.
持牌電工施工：專用回路、Type A 30mA 漏電開關、戶外防紫外線線槽及防水接駁，半日內完成，並簽發電力測試紀錄。Licensed electricians: dedicated circuit, Type A 30mA RCD, UV-resistant trunking and weatherproof joints outdoors. Half a day on site, finished with signed test records.
中電最後上門掛錶通電。掛錶成功即可開始充電。CLP returns to hang and energise the meter. As soon as it's live you can charge.

向中電申請 → 中電裝 fuse → EV Case 安裝充電樁 → 中電掛錶 → 完成。整體約 2 至 3 個月，大部分時間在等中電排期，所以愈早申請愈好。Apply to CLP → CLP fits the fuse → we install the charger → CLP hangs the meter → done. Two to three months overall, most of it waiting in CLP's queue — so the earlier you apply, the better.
